News

There is an action packed programme organised for 2013.

If you are interested in visiting the ecovillage, turn up for a FREE introductory tour of the village. They are on every Sat and Sun at 3pm and conducted by ecovillage residents. Meet in "Sile na Gig" bookstore. If you are early, the coffee is very good.

More in depth tours are available by contacting Ecolearn.

There are also a wide range of Courses and Festivals throughout the year. Click on the "Learn" section for a full list. There should be something for everyone.

We are also trying to keep a better pictorial record of the ecovillage so keep an eye on the Photo Gallery.

During the so-called boom we were one of the only projects to offer our property at cost price. Since the crash we have tried to keep our prices as low as possible. In light of the changing definition of affordability, last month we reviewed our project costs and are delighted to reduce the price of 15 sites by as much as 50%.

Great news if you are thinking of moving to the ecovillage!

Which of course is great news if you are thinking of moving here. We need more residents, businesses and creativity to help us fulfill our goals. Lots more information here

The Irish Times visited Cloughjordan and judged our town to be in the top 10 places to live in Ireland, the second best village to live in after Ardara in Donegal. Of course we already know that Cloughjordan is a wonderful place to live and has a great community spirit but we now know that Ardara must be a great village to beat us into second place! Now, if hurling skill was included in the competition......
